Dr. Roger Clemens is Chief Scientific Officer of E.T. Horn, part-time faculty and Associate Director within the USC Regulatory Science program and an adjunct Professor of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences within the USC School of Pharmacy. He is president-elect of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) and a member of the Board of Directors as well as a spokesperson for the American Society for Nutrition (ASN), where he serves on their Finance and Public Policy committees. Dr. Clemens is a fellow in the IFT, American College of Nutrition, and the Marilyn Magaram Center for Food Science, Nutrition and Dietetics.

In addition to having served on the USDA 2010 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee, Dr. Clemens is a second-term member of the US Pharmacopeia Food Ingredient Expert Committee and currently is a food science expert on the registered dietitian (RD) and dietetic technician registered (DTR) examination panel. He received an AB in Bacteriology, a MPH in Nutrition, and a DrPH. in Public Health Nutrition and Biological Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles.
